How to hire someone who will not break there NECk while removing ICE Dams

Not a huge fan of cleaning gutters or snow off roofs, but have done it. I installed and distributed a product back in late 90's that was created to keep tree and other foreign objects out. We found that the design alsobprevented daming in the winter. Unfortunately the companyb wasbunable to sustain itself. Until recently I have not seen anything comparable. One product is carried by ABC contractor supply. Not to be confused with ABC window cleaning supply. He other which I yet to see locally becaus I have not asked for a referral is this product. What am i missing here Ron? Other than standing on the ice itself whats wrong with it? Just asking so i can learn.

Now the other guy "CAPTAIN ICE" with the 41 1/2 % full "crotchless panties" and his very proffesional acrobatic sidekick on the roof, those guys had me scratching my head in amazement. top shelf for sure.

So let me get this straight, in both videos you put people on an ice and snow covered roof with no harness, one is using steam the other guy uses brute force to remove the ice. They both want to save the homeowners money????? One fall and it's over. Never mind the 41.5% full pantyhose thing. They are throwing potassium chloride all over the place. Almost dropped the bag on the Captains head. I would have thrown all the idiots off my property. PLEASE TELL ME WHY WE DON"T HAVE STANDARDS IN THIS INDUSTRY? you can't buy a screwdriver and a pair of wire strippers and call yourself an electrician, or some plumbing tools and call yourself a plumber, but for $250 you can buy a pressure washer and you're in business? Homeowner education through contractor education. Safety standards please..... Best industry practices...... Idiots need not apply.
