House wash

I normally use simple cherry and I am trying elemonator in the spring. I tried some Powerhouse house wash and was impressed with it. Has anybody else had any experiences with it, good or bad. I haven't heard much about it.

Brian - I used a 5 gallon bucket of it in 2011. I thought it did a great job, but if my memory is correct, I didn't reorder because of the price with shipping.

I used Simple Cherry……… I switched over to Elemonator a few months back… Its a liquid.. so no more mixing powder…Good suds… windows look great! I haven't looked back!

I never bought any of that stuff because of price and shipping cost.

I was sticking with the Simple Cherry for many years but this year I tried the Roof Snot from Russ at Southside Equipment and that stuff works great, I am sticking with the Roof Snot for many uses.

Dawn for me, I'm like CL if it ain't broke don't fix it. I do have a question what type of house wash are you guys doing to need that much cling. Sometimes I don't even use dawn depending on Temps. Is it something I'm missing? Don't want to be rinsing a house for an hour.

Odo-ban!?!?! I used that years ago when I was in real estate flipping. Every time I saw it at home depot I kept saying I was going to look it up to see if it was compatible with bleach. It smells great!

In a house wash mix, the soap,..whichever you choose,.. isn't there for cling,..the soaps main job is to clean,...if you're only using bleach and water on a house wash, you may want to rethink your mix. The cling comes along with the soap kinda' like a bonus ,..but the "detergency" factor of soap is needed for quality house wash.

Okay, I can see the soap in certain situations, an area where the buildings have smog build up. Most of my cleanings has a little dirt and lots of mold and algae. I have tried both methods. With no benefit with the detergent on my normal house washing.

Overall I think I produce a pretty good cleaning, of course you always have room for improvement. This is why I asked the question.

From what I understand surfactants (soap) work synergistically to loosen and suspend the dirt on a surface, so that it can be washed away easily. You really should be using some kind of soap in your mix. It gets stuff cleaner and makes your job easier.
