Right now I use a Chem that is a truck was mixed with bleach I read on an old post about a mix of 5 gal 2 gal of bleach 2 cups of dawn dish soap and a cup of liguid car wax. What would be the best liquid car wax to use and where can I get some. I have a lady that wants her house done and she said that the last time she had it done the guy never made the house shine, will this kinda mix make this house shine?

Im using cold water.

HelloScott K,

Go to Advanced Auto or Auto Zone and get Zep Car Wax. Pour about a cup in you 5 gallon mixture. I have tried it a couple times and now it will be part of my mixture. I now use two paint can tops of Emulsifier Plus from Envirosec mixed with 2 gallons of bleach, two squirts of Dawn and a cup of car wax in a five gallon bucket. Mix the Emulsifier Plus first, Thenadd the bleach, wax, and finally dawn, fill the rest with water. Use the xjet to put it on the side of the house. I owe the knowledgr of this mixture to Chuck Richards and Tim Hayes. They are successful pressure pros who have given me good advice.

Good Luck,

Scott

Extreme,

I am sorry. I reread the post. That did not make much sense. I mean to use the top of a spray paint can. That is the plastic top that covers the top of the can. Use it as a measuring cup. You can leave it in the plastic bag that the chemical comes in.

Hope this clarifies.

Scott, you are saying that you don't mix the emulsifier into a drum for later use, you carry the powder with you and mix two paint can tops in a 5 gallon bucket?

Chris,

Yes, I carry the powder with me and mix it when I need it. This is what I do now. I am part time. Someone else may mix it into a 55 gallon drum. I do not have a drum at this time. I find that carrying the box is easier for me. At a later date I might try mixing the whole batch,1/2,1/4, etc...that may save time on the job site.

What type of shape is the house in?

Wood or vinyl? How old is the paint or vinyl?

You may not be able to put any shine on it if the suface is heavily oxidized or faded.

This house is 15yrs old mostly just dirt, with some mold on the northside of the house The houes is in good shape.

I know this is a older post but is this still what you recommend for the vinyl to shine? Do you mix the wax in and ds it at the same time you are applyiing the house wash or would you apply it after you have rinsed? Thanks DSloan Brunswick, Ga 912-269-2385

You can apply it either of 2 ways. You can DS it as your rinsing or apply it after the rinse by DS'ing it. The later of the 2 is the best way. It will save you money in the long run. Personally I just DS vinyl with SH and Dawn and rinse. No wax.

Im not sure who Larry is, how do I get ahold of him? Thanks

Boooo! Here I am.... LOL... Be careful what you wish for on here...Hahaha! :thank_you2:

I would have never thought about wax until I heard someone talk about it making the faded vinyl shine. What type of wax do you recommend and how much do I add to a 5 gal bucket of water as I ds it on after washing and rinsing the house good? Thanks

I am not sure if the vendors like Russ at Southside, Nichole at Sunbrite, Larry H. at Delco, or Lori at Pressure Washer Products has the wax or not but Steve Rowlett (the chemical doctor) used to sell it, I think that Flynn sells his chemicals now, I think that there is a link somewhere here on PWI.

With the wax Steve sold you add it to the house wash mix when you X-Jet or Downstream to Housewash and Clean Vinyl Siding to leave the Vinyl shiny.

Premier from envirospec forms a silicone membrane on the surface being washed. I have used it side by side with Emulsifier Plus and the premier half looked glossier. I even conducted a small test, I mixed Emulsifier Puls with Premier,... the body of "premier" soap floats on Emulsifier Plus.

I have also used high end car wash and wax with my foam bottle and nozzle after a regular house wash and the premier still looked better.

I have Plex Master in the garage and never used it, I could only imagine that it would out shine "premier"
