I was on a job this morning and had a hoottttttt water major issue.I set the surface cleaner down to move a few thing in my way...maybe 1 or 2 minutes.
When I went back to the SC and pulled the trigger on the gun the surface cleaner was barely moving water and making a whole lotta steam.
I cut a quick trail to the rig to see steam coming from every place I have a QC between the machine and the the hose reel. The burner was still running without the trigger being pulled and had super heated the water.

Would a bad flow switch be causing this? This one is fairly new less that 6 months old I think, but I also seem to recall having this problem in the past when the flow switch went bad.

hey scott i had that to happen as well and it was the flow switch on my end but there could be other issues but thats were i would start good luck

also a bad thermostate

Just had that happen... The slider in the flow switch was stuck. I just took it off and took it to the kitchen sink and after about 10 minutes of pushing water through both sides all of the gunk finally came out and you could hear it sliding again... Hooked it back up and it works like a charm!!

Nah, you were just getting prepped to do a parking garage.

Scott K, now you are like Jim!

Also you are very lucky the coil did not go BOOM! When it happens it sounds like someone fired a 50mm shell from a tank in your ear!

That don't sound like too much fun!!

Could be a stopped up unloader . trash in it.. That happened to me with the new machin e it made me get a better filter really quick.. Also it could be a bad flow switch .. Those things hate Ice and freezing... Also I had an issue with the fuel solonoid stuck open one time and made my whitco burner stay on all the time..
