What do you guys think about adding a hot box to an existing machine 4gpm 4k,is it better than buying a new all in one?

I know the cost is a lot less.I'm wondering that if the all in one unit coil fails or something goes wrong with the burner does it put the whole unit out of commision. If the hot box goes out I can still wash.

Tell what you have dealt with with both if you can.

Cajun I looking to add hot box just because it will save room plus I use my cold water machine. I do like all in one but when saw Russ trailer setup saw that he is using to hot boxs said that is best way to go for small guy that need save room for other things.

I like using an add on hot box. The all in one units can be a pain to work on.

You can bypass the coil on the all in one units if you like that is not a problem. The biggest advantage of a separate box is the ability to set up your rig to offer the best space saving layout and functionality.

Cost can be a factor as well if you have a cold water setup that either has a 20 amp charging system to support a 12v system you can save some $$$. If you don't have a charging system that big then you will have to get a generator for a 120v system or an alternate 12v power source which may price you out of a inexpensive functional add on of a heater only.
