How do I determine how much hose I can use without losing
pressure.

well a 1600 psi hot water machine with a 2.3 GPM pump can run 150 foot without to much noticable pressure loss. 200-300 foot I notice a loss.
If the machine your running is hot water it will help maintain the pressure. That hot water likes to run out the nozzle faster than cold.
I would think if you had lets say a- 3500 psi at 4GPM You should be able to run 300 foot without any problem.Maybe 400 with some noticeable drop.But still have good cleaning power.

Please correct me if I am wrong in this assumption.
