Neat feature. I thought it was justa copy of the super hinge. Only thing I see is that is alot of weight and stress on a simple piece of aluminum bar stock. They might want to look into making it out of steel.
 
OK for short fans or freakishly tall people. I wouldnt be able to use it without a ladder on most of my places.
 
That looks pretty good for smaller fans, whats the price for one of those kits anyway?
