My company won the pressure cleaning portion of a $500,000 project by the University of Florida where these funds will be spend on 15 historic properties in St. Augustine, Florida (the oldest city in America.) My wife was able to get the newspaper to publish a front-page article about this project in today's paper. The first building is our town's signature building, the Government House, built in 1759 right across from the Plaza de la Constitution. I brought on Mike Barrett of Barrett's Pressure Cleaning as my partner. Mike and I met at the Tampa RT in July of 2009 and have done 4 major cleaning projects together since then. We are about half way through this project with everything cleaning up better than anticipated. UF brought in a well known property preservationist that we are working closely with as the utmost care of these properties comes before anything. W.G. Mills, Inc. is the general contractor and this is just the beginning of what may be a great long-term relationship with them. We begin on the Spanish Military Hospital (restoration of original building from 1791) next week. My company was highly recommended to W.G. Mills by the City of St. Augustine as I have done two large cleaning projects with them. We are delighted to be involved with such a high-profile restoration project.
