I need some advice for cleaning landfill equip. Compactors, rock haulers, etc, etc, etc. They have not been cleaned for a long, long, time. Its up to me to make this landfill a better place for all. Also pricing on a monthly bassis. Thanks

Walter your Q'tion is far to short to even think about giving you a good answer, they make alot of different compacks, rockhaulers ect. ect. ect. ect..It would make me having to tell alittle about each size and kind making my answer to long and to time wasting for me,,it would be like walking in a store and asking how much is your candy, need more detail or show me as the store clerk would ask.

i would be very carefull in where i wash ..... you did not mention about collecting water.......... a word of caution........ the E.P.A............D.E.P in my area is always at the landfill making sure those guys arent putting >>>>>oil....waste.... and all kinds of bad stuff in the ground.....and they will be watching you...

you need more info here like big-rat....boy said........

That sonds like a good job. you can use a wash pad for the water colletion. I would charge a lot 100+ for each!! Tell me how it turns out. I might go to the landfilds arond MD. Do you need state contracts? or is it privet dump?

Good Luck!
Eric

Landfill

Im sorry I did not relize that different types of compactors and such equip require different methods. I figured since they were at a land fill they would pretty much need to be cleaned the same way (Same dirt, trash and scum, different day). They have 18 peices at one site and another 8 not far away at another site. I started to clean a peice last night and it went pretty good. Just had a trouble getting the heavy black crap off the outer panels.

Around here the trailer rockhaulers goes for 25 to 45 a rig, some have alumin tanks, rims and trailers some have polished tanks, rims and trailers some have just painted tanks, rims and trailers and these three can be cleaned in three different ways of each other.
Other things like water "we supply most not all" so you see they are alot of things that could bring the price up or down,,,main thing is to make a little money while washing.

Landfill

All their equipment is heavy. The rock haulers are the very big kind. The kind with the 6 foot tires. Their is nothing pretty about them. Nothing that shines nothing that resembles good looking. Im looking for ways to clean and methods. The first one I cleaned inside and worked my way out, so as not to work into the mud. Just looking for advice (chemical, temp, etc)

All landfills are not the same as in eqt.,ect.ect.

Your needing a degreaser type soap and yes hotwater.

I mix a alkaline and degreaser together on that type eqt.

Delco's R109 mixed with DNB-1430 does a O K job on that type eqt.
