Help with a bid on a wall...

I have to bid on a wall that is 6' tall 1000' long.....I was told by the landscape company that the management company has had no luck with 6 pressure washing companies getting it cleaned. Pressure washing won't get it, or Sh, or F-13..... I was able to clean a small section pretty easy on a test ....Its some sorta black film that the irrigation did. (Pond water) Now they are on city water........
My quiestion should I price it really high or really really high.....These people want clean and have the money. I just dont wanna leave anything on the table or miss it because I went over board. PM me if you have any ideas.....thanks guys.

I would price it mid to high not really high. Reason being they may not hire you in the future if they feel ripped off!

Plus if you price it too high they might decide they dont need it cleaned that bad.
As long as the lay out is right, theres no reason that job couldnt be a good profitable one to have this time of year.
 
I would look deep into the particulars, such as plants in the way, water filling location and trailering to wash location etc. I would get face time with the PM or landscaper and explain the "why me" stuff and sell it. I would be higher than normal due to no one getting it clean. Sell PROFESSIONAL and you will see them in the future. Don't get so high that you should offer them goggles before you gouge their eyes out. Be high but within reason.
 
I would price it to make money,but price it to get it also.If the neighborhood is a high end one the amount of jobs you get from being out there when they pass coming home should be good.I would also make sure I ended my day there everyday,make sure you are there between 5 and 6 pm everyday until its done.Thats what I do on fence jobs like that.
 
If it were me, I would price the cleaning reasonably. Enough so I made a decent profit, but not over board.

I would also offer a separate bid to seal the brick after cleaning. This is the bid I would make high. Sell the sealing as a preventative maintenance service to keep the brick looking great and protecting it.

I think this is the safest way of bidding the job. You've got the best chance at making a decent profit with the cleaning job - and a chance at making some good bank with sealing without loosing the chance to make the decent profit cleaning...
 
Bid your price, figure your costs and what you want to make and go with that. If no one else was able to clean it like you said you should be able to go a bit higher than usual but don't price yourself out of future work.
