Help with a belt drive unit

I have a 4gpm 4000psi I believe, bandit belt driven <nobr>pressure washer</nobr>. which can be seen here: http://www.pressures...m/aboutPSI.html

My issue is, when hooked up to a hose at <nobr>my house</nobr> ( hose pushes out 7gpm) it runs perfectly fine, however I cannot get it to pull from a 5 <nobr>gallon</nobr> bucket when trying to winterize it.

Any help at all would be very much appreciated.

Make sure you've got a good seal at the inlet and run the engine at about half speed. That will increase the draw vacuum.

Im pretty sure I have a good seal, and I just went out and tried the engine at half speed, still nothing. Could there be something wrong with the pump?

I wouldn't think so. Try this...use the garden hose to get the pump full of water. Elevate the anti freeze bucket above the pump and try it.

Thanks for the help Russ. I was able to get it winterized by gravity feeding it.
