Hello Ron ....
I do have a question about pressure washers. I do not have a very expsensive one but it gets the job done for what i need it to do. The other day i went to go use it and hooked all lines up and went to use it. Well it did not work so i took off the tip and purged it a couple of times then put the tip back on and it worked.Everytime i go to spray i have to purge it and put the tip on again and again.
I do not know if it is called the loader /pump.I am thinking it is one of those and if i take it in to get repaired it would probably cost me more than to just replace it with a new one since i only paid $ 300.00 for it.
It is a karcher that puts out like 2500 - 3000 and i think the gpm might be 2.5 - 3.0.
I do not use it to clean walk ways or anything like that more or less to wash my vehicles and sand limmo.
So maybe you might have a idea of what the problem is.
Thank you for your time

I know its another BBS, is this problem as simple as he doesnt have a Screen on the hose?

If you can help him direct...Thanks

I've got one in my shop with that exact problem. Usually it's the "spill valve", Karcher's name for the unloader. I put a new one in it, but it's still doing the same thing. I'm waiting to hear from Karcher on what else the problem may be. I'll keep you posted.

It is a model called 'boat anchor'...not sure I don't have it here right now the Karcher dealer has it to see if he can find some parts from an old one to get it working.

Hell, that could apply to any of them...lol:lmao:

I got my call returned today. Was told to check the valves. Replaced the discharge valves and the hi psi seals. Still did it. Called back and was told to replace the inlet valves. Reminded them that I had none, as they were back ordered last time I stocked up. She said she still didn't have any to send me. So it sits in the corner for now. Hella support.

Have another one for you Ron,

I think my injector or proportioner is bad. Check this video out. Its bad quality.[taken on my cell phone]

I get draw but when I release the trigger, water shoots back through the injector into my bucket of soapy water and blowing off my hose strainer. I noticed a small amount of rubber particles inside the proportioner. Im thinking blown out O ring.

How about this question?

looks to be a bad o-ring in the injector or spring. Easier to replace it then rebuild unless your using alot of harsh chemicals and going through them weekly
