Help me to make my decision

I am currently building a flat bed truck and am in the market to purchase two hot water machines. I am currently using a Hydro tek SCU35009. I love the unit, except for the issues I had with the motor a while back, other then that it's great. It produces 3500 psi @ 9 GPM. Does anyone know of any other equipment along those same lines? I do not want to go down in power or production.

What kinda motor issues did you have hope you have a kohlor on that machine.I had one just like it ran strong for a long time.Then sold it to a member on another board he is still running it.I would look at just having a company put together a big motor and a big pump and then get a hot box.Thats what i did and i dont think i will go back to skid units.I have a 30 kohlor with a 12 gpm pump and a big hot box.There are so many good things about a set up like this than a skid.When a skid breaks down its so hard to work on or my hydrotek was that little belt that ran the generator was a pain to get to.Good luck

How about another SCU35009? Was the engine issue the fuel pump? I've had an experience with the Vanny big block getting hot and vapor locking. We're going to a pulse style fuel pump to eliminate the problem.

Yes, that is a hydro tek reclaim. I am very happy with it and will be putting the newer model on my flat bed. It has a bit more GPM reclaim and processing rate. It works fine for the trailer rig but will need more processing speed because of the two machines on the flat bed.

I didn't think hydrotek made a reclaim that could keep up with 18 gpm do they something new.

How high is the deck of the truck if the vac pump on the reclaim is to high it may have trouble pulling water. The hydroteks are only rated for 91 inches of lift thats only 7.5 ft. The top of the vac drums on my truck are over six feet.

I have a very low deck on my truck. That will not be an issue.
