Just a heads up.....

I got a call from the manager of 1 of the 2 Ruby Tuesdays we clean for this evening.
They have cut out all outside power washing and while they hope to bring us back at a later date the future is uncertain at this time. These are huge accounts for us,but they are steady money. They had already cut the store budgets deeply earlier this year and it took some creative scheduling on my part to keep them on the service route.
I wish I had the opportunity to explain to those higher up in their company why keeping the outside appearance clean during these tough economic times is what will set them apart from other restaurant chains.

I had Ruby Tuesdays a couple of years ago. They have always been all about the their budget...They dropped me when they found someone to do it for $100.00 cheaper and I was already at $200.00 and even that was only every 3 months. Now they look nasty. I can only imagine what they will look like in the future!

That sucks!!
You have to think the economy has to turn for the better but it doesn't look good for the near future. The story here is that the Banks are looking to hoard the 250 billion that the Gov't has allocated so far to help bail them out. The money was supposed to help the economy especially those in need of loans.

Back to Scott's post the powers to be should reconsider because a clean store especially restaurants attract more people and that means more money coming in for the businesses.

Sorry to hear it Scott. I knew they cut back, but to cut it out completly is just crazy. Don't they know there's a reason they have been cleaning them for years..........because they are dirty and need cleaning:confused:

Hope you get them back in 2009 sometime

I just went by a Ruby Tuesdays last night. We are cleaning the hoods for them tonight. They may be cutting back on exterior but they are at least keeping up with their hoods in this area.

They just cut our Ruby Tuesday's also.

I just picked up some in Alabama and south Georgia ???????

Russ - How far South in Georgia? Will you be any closer to my neck of the woods. The closest stand alone ones are in Kingsland and Darien.

Squirtgun - sorry to hear you lost the revenue

Ruby tuesdays has always been a pain. They filed BK and likly cant PW some location based on volume.

In this business its not about a group or person. Its plain based on the volume of each individual unit.

If the unit falls below a certain Gross the computer program tells the manager what outside services he has a choice to cut.

I always get them to cut somewhere else.
