Hawks - Flyers Great series!

Flyers are in a tough spot right now! The had chances to go ahead in both games and gave them away. I have a friend that has 4 seat for all the playoff games. He has taken me to 3 of the home playoff games. I hope he offers up a Stanley Cup Final ticket. It really is a great series and I would love to make it to a Flyers home cup game!

Philly has come back before, that's how they got to where they are now. The first game was a shootout, very exciting to watch. I hope this series goes right down to game 7

Me 2 Lou, born and raised in Detroit, and played Hockey from time to time. We used to have pick up Hockey Games on the weekends when I was a Kid at Palmer Park in Detroit. Just like Detroit Street Basketball (too short for that) the street hockey games could get pretty rough at times. The game of NHL Hockey has really changed, it is much more like the Hockey played in Europe now. I guess that is because the Europeans were getting their azzes kicked so bad in the NHL ? NHL Hockey has always been a violent game until lately, and if you ever visit Canada, you would know why. The Canadien game is very physical.
 
I have been to Palmer Park. Hell even went to Pershing High for just a bit but got into a knock down drag out in the hallway on 3rd week of school. It turned into a mini riot ...oh man those were the days.;)

Lou, I was Raised in the Jeffries Housing Project on Detroit's Lower East Side. One of the ONLY white boyz in the Projects! Guns were not "optional" in my old neighborhood, they were Mandatory. I was packing a piece at age 11, and that's when the fights stopped. I must have been in 30 or more fights before that. Once it became known that "That White Boy got a Gun" I was tolerated. Lou, most people have NO Idea what Detroit is really like. It is always number 1 or 2 for murders, or violent crime.
Wow, Pershing High School, bet you are no stranger to tire irons and broken beer bottles huh ? That's a rough high school, especially when you are a white boy.
Anyway, back to Hockey !!!!!!!!!!!
Philly won game 3. They gave up 2 first round picks for Chris Pronger, remember him ?
He is an excellent defenseman.
I hope Philly wins game 4!
This is turning out to be an excellent series, just like Kory said!!!!!!!!!!
I have no favorites in this series, since my Red Wings are not in it :shocked:
 
I always make the Northerners mad up here. I always say..."Its only hockey, get over it" I only think its interesting when they fight...other than that I throw rocks at it...I cant wait til lacross season next year..ooops...another Northern game....geesh there are so many useless sports in the world :>) Well at least my American Indian family had the nerve to make it interesting with using real heads...

LaCross makes Hockey look like sissyvile. In it'soriginal form, it was a very violent sport, hard to learn too, because of all the broken bones.

And what about Leighton he going be haunted be that one for a while. He had neither his stick or his pads on the ice. I'm sure in his mind from that angle he was watching for the pass. But man, you got to have your stick or your pads

yeah.....I'm a Caps Fan, however....after we lost i been pullin for philly. (spent some time running up and down south street with my cousins)
Anyway...great series, Leighton (goalie) cost it for us, by lettin some soft goals get by him. Not taking anything from Chicago, the right team won, just would have been a little more storybook to finish in chicago in front of the fans.

Hey Chris I just noticed your a Tucker, did you have family in Hazel Park? And do you ever get a weird craving for a Faygo? I know I do at times.
