Has anyone tried this before?

Looking in the new Cleaner Times on page 9 is the now "Quantum-z Unloader" fom enviro-spec, the page says that you can pull the trigger with your little pinky. My question is has anyone tried this out, I understand that it’s new however some people get to try things out first to make sure it works. Let me know what you think about it, what your likes and dislikes are.

We have installed these. They have great positives tainted with a few negatives. I can't say anything about longevity, but we've been enjoying them so far! It does greatly drop the pressure in the hose while in bypass. It stops the over clean you may get from your surface cleaner if you start it flat. I'm hoping it will also extend the life of our flex heads. The problems we've had have all been just getting use to them and are hard to explain. I would recommend these for now, but I'll speak up it they fail quickly!

I can pull the trigger with my pinky finger using my K-7, since the pressure in the line drops to zero while in bypass. I too am interested in this new unloader and look forward to hearing on its durability and longevity.

Was the unloader hard to adjust? How long did it take you to get it set up?

I have the pressure type and was thinking about trying the other type.

Some of what espec sells are simply rebranded names of other products. The stilleto nozzle is simply a nozzle from Barrens with the rubber casing cut off. It may very well be a K-7.
It's thier own unloader unless they are taking the time to rebrand a K-7 with a new unloader body with the name "allison" cast into the body.

A flat worker by me has one and speaks highly of it, again there is no report on how long it has lasted but he is happy with it.

It seems like the k1 flow unloader which works with all flows up to 10 gpm. Which if I am correct is just a flow unloader with no check valve, and never worked well for me. I am interested in a flow unloader with the least resistance, that little tiny hole the water has to go through (look in a k7) seems like a big restriction to me. Does it operate like a trap unloader as far as allowing different tip sizes?

It appears to be a GP pulsarz "flow sensitive unloader" but espec attached something on the outlet. I believe it is what drops the pressure like the K-7. I've never used the K-7 so I can't compare, but so far, this is treating me well. I'm in the KEC biz and not having the initial blast when the trigger is pulled is somewhat priceless!

I do seem to be having a problem that I thought was unrelated. My thermostat seems to stick. I'm running a 110v w/ adjustable thermostat. The heat will activate, rise to desired temp, then cut off, but not re-engage when temp drops. If we turn the dial down to off then back up, the heat activates. I thought it was the thermostat, but I replaced it and the new one does the same. I thought it was the unloader messing w/ flow sensor, but that doesn't seem to be it... I don't know how this could be caused by the unloader, but it started on one of my machines the same week we installed them!
