Hampton Inns and Suites

They have nice rooms.

LOL I MEAN has anyone washed any of these hotels!

5 stories tall, dryvit, the building isnt that old and isnt that dirty but they have a problem with dirt dobber nests. Most of them up really high.

I wondered if anyone knew what they were used to paying for a building wash.

The district mgr is supposed to be up here early next week.

If it's corporate you won't have any problem getting paid.
If it's locally owned it's a crapshoot, as always.

I used to do a lot of work for hotels / motels

I only had trouble one time getting paid. The old Harley hotel in Orlando. I did a lot of work when it changed to the 4 points Sheraton. Took a lot to get that money. It was the project mngr, not the management co. Other than that, I never had problems getting paid.

Usually properties like that do not want any leins or any thing.

It must be Hampton Inn Hotel inspection time. I just bid on one last week.

How many dryvit type buildings have you done?

A great thing to do as an ad on for them is add in the windowcleaning as a no line iten issue, put cost of window cleaning plus 50%, take your actual cost and just hide the window cleaning in the bid, if they ask for a price w/o window cleaning, just cut 15-20% of your total bid, easy way to sneak in the extra $$.

Mudd dobbers on dryvit,......Best of wishes...for that.

And hey.....even if you mess up the dryvit, give me a call first I will testify for you instead of the insurance company!!

Good luck

We have done many thru the years, American owners and franchises paid well, sand people not so much (I had to threaten one with his own scud missile) Told him I was going to stratigically place it wher the sun dont shine and fire it thru his rag head ...... I got a phone call from the front desk that afternoon, they had my check ready for pick up.

Ive done a good handful of dryvit houses and a few office buildings. When I say houses I mean small mansions. 6-12k sf.

I like the window cleaning idea. Weve done that before on a smaller scale.

Dirt dobbers on dryvit..... The only way I have found is up close and personal. Tooth brush on a pole works good. Lol

I really like cleaning dryvit since it cant be pressure washed. Makes our low pressure cleaning worth a whole lot more.

+1 :thumbup2:

I cleaned one in my area, it was a franc and then it went under. Now it's under management company. I cleaned mine in 5 hours, with sissor lift. Saturate the nest with extra surfactant and let sit, come back with softwash or low psi and it will melt away. I was ALWAYS paid on time.
Cost? that of course will vary greatly as you well know. Mine was 3 stories 80 rooms 4x's year..

USing surfac on dobber works?

I will have t try that.

dobbers, are made to stick with protein, kinda like ancilar vines and assorted other tricks from nature.

WE have used a turbo tip to get them off, but practice before you do.

AND remember, clean the building and just dont worry about the payment, lots of states have a service/fixture lein availible, dont pay, the process is simple in court. Adn remeber with pics and docs you will ALWAYS win ALWAYS, just consider it an investment, cause you will get paid at some point , and the best prt is you will get it with INtReSt, maybe 4-29.99% per month!!! pester for payment make bad relations ships for future bussiness.

Godd Luck

Sounds like I need to hire you to help me.
I did a job for a well respected contractor who is looked upon by many to be a real leader in this industry back in June.
He has not paid me yet.
It sucks when someone refuses to pay you. Really Sucks!
