I use a backpack blower. Cleans them quick without creating mud. I only use the pressure washer to clear the downspouts. I don't know if there is a better way, but that's how I've been doing it.

I don't think you should stop cleaning gutters. whether or not you buy a gutter cleaning attachment I think you should find the amount of money you need to make your profit and charge that amount. If they don't pay your price then move on. if they do then a bonus for you. don't just stop, you will be leaving money on the table.

I concur. Never leave money on the table unless you have plenty of it and even then you shouldn't do it

There is a vacuum system, about $4000.00

Here when they ask to clean the inside, they have plants growing in them and that means there is mud, granules from the roof, tons of leaves and other stuff in them.

I do them by hand with the gutter tools and extension poles so I can clean about 10' to 15' on each side of me before moving the ladder.

I tried power washing the gutters but the customer complained and wanted all that stuff out of their yard, garden, flower bed, off the plants, etc..... Leaf blower also made similar mess where the owner wanted everything cleaned up as they just had their yard guy there, this is why I do them by hand, I don't want to make another mess and don't want to upset my customers as they call me back every year to two years.

With you on the mess thing. I did the gutters by hand as well. I was thinking more about the rinsing out after all of the gunk has been removed. There was a lot of black sludge in the bottom of the gutter nothing that you could scoop up. Was thinking about the gutter head to wash that lot out. Am I thinking to fussy?. I like to do the job and leave it like I would my own home not near enough. As my Dad always said "Near enough is good enough when near enough is perfect."

I will not scrub/wash down the inside of gutters, when I do them I make sure the flow is correct and unobstructed. I would not expect a gutter cleaner to scrub the inside of mine, nor would I want to pay for it. Now on the other hand if the homeowner wanted the insides scrubbed and was willing to pay me $125.00 an hour then I would gladly make him happy.
