gutter cleaning equipment......

I have been looking online at thir machine for the last week. Kinda pricy though. Looking into building my own. What they are using is a walk behind leaf blower to power it. They have the exact power/cfm model blower at Northern tool.

If you're going to build your own this may help.

I'm thinking a Billy Goat type vac would adapt pretty easy. I don't know if a big commercial electric vac would pull hard enough. Gutters around here usually have at least 1" of solid wet crud on the bottom before anyone wants them cleaned.

Guys, I just don't see how cfms are going to "convince" wet or even moist leaves
to "jump into" or through a long length of hose.
I try to be "THE" equipment guy for this industry with performance for the dollar..
After working with the ENORMOUS performance of SGV's,
I think CFMs are a "snake-oil-salesman's idea" without BIGtime suction..
I just don't want y'all to be wasting precious time.
I hope somebody speaks up, here after "hands-on" experience to confirm..
If a Shop-vac won't do it in a small way, a bigger one will only deliver a bigger, more expensive waste of time.
to be clear, I will never bash a competitor, but the technology..
come on.. this one is common sense. Eh?
Y'all have asked enough questions about this, we've devised a LeafTrap,
with a lift-out bag, in one of our "sweet" 30 (or 55gl) drums,
to be used with an SGV that can "suck the hell" out of those gutters..
wet or not, muddy or dry, rocks and all, fast and profitable.
To prove the point.. a local customer (rain-gutter specialist,) will be testing my system this week..
we'll keep y'all' posted. ..:victory:

Jerry I like the solid 3" clear pipe idea(nice to see it working)..with the build in U at the top. I bet it would work better if it was in longer fittings (seal would be better). I just don't know how they claim they can get 2000 cfm from a 5 horse power engine.
Cant wait to see some videos of what you have coming out....My personal request would be to use it on 3 story buildings (apartments).....4 story would be a bonus...
