I noticed today at Wal Mart that the Great Value bleach is 8.25%. I wasn't able to tell how fresh it was; I couldn't find a mfgd. label anywhere.

Any one here have experience using Great Value bleach? It seems reasonably strong, and I am having a hard time finding 12.5% SH.

Just Find a Local Chem Guy if UNIVAR Prices are not Good Enough for you.

I've used the 8.25% in a pinch and haven't had a problem. It is a lot more expensive buying it that way. Might have trouble using it if trying to downstream something that is really nasty.

Try pool supply companies. We pay about $1.50 per gal over here. I buy mine from a company that sells to local water companies. You might contacting the local water company and see who they buy from or contact a near by small town water company may be better........good luck

We operated the first couple of years on SamsClub Clorox. It was 6.25 and had a made on date that was rarely too far out.

Four gallons store bought, 1/2 gallon of water to mix the Simple Cherry in and away we went.

I've made it work so far, but just barely. I feel like i need something stronger, and am having no luck with area pool supply stores and hardware stores. Seems like when dealing with the weaker SH it's simply a matter of doubling the amount in the wash mix?

When we could only access 6.25%, we used 4 gallons of that and one half gallon of water with soap.

We almost always decanted the gallon jugs at the shop before we went to the jobsite.

Appearances and all that, you know.

The SamsClub bleach was surprisingly predictable in it's cleaning ability.

Check if you have a Brenntag in your area.

There are many chemical companies there around New Orleans, they probably don't advertise in the phone book, might check online searching for bleach supplier, bleach distributor, chemical supplier, chemical distributor, chemical dealer, etc.......
