Got me a Nice 9 point in rut this morning on Video

This morning I was freezing 30 ft up in tree when this 9 point buck came chasing a doe across the power lines on my 10 acres at the house.
The cool thing about this is I was able to video the shot with my camcorder attached to my rifle!! <object height="344" width="425">

Nice deer Al. I don't see a drop of blood. Sure you didn't hit him with your truck?

No, that one was the 12 pointer last week I posted about!!
Hardly no blood, nice clean shot thru lungs and heart with 270 , ran about 50 yards and dropped, doe he was chasing stood under my stand after I shot, but all I had one shell, because my gun needs repair because it wont eject:rolleyes:

Yeah I was just kidding. We are slug gunners here. Although they recently opened up rifle with approved handgun cartridges. A 12 ga slug puts a thumb size whole for a good blood trail. Here's one I took Sat. 211lb field dressed and 19" I/S spread and good G-1's. Cutting him up tonight.

very nice one, you do grow'em big there, I would love to go there sometimes!!
this one weighed 205, the 12 pointer was 165---On the hoof!
The G'1s on the 12 are like yours

Nice buck Al :) . I always had good luck in GA. I used to be a member of the bud man hunt club in Fort Vally, GA.

nice buck al our rifle season start in 2 weeks, gota spike buck during muzzleloader season

Great to see a real video Al and not the canned hunt kind on TV. Nice shot, he didn't go far. I'm curious to see what type and how you mounted a cam on your firearm. That stuff happens so fast it's hard to remember. It would be great to see again like that.

He is the link, I have been trying for couple years to get one on video, The camera has cost me a couple deer as well!! Finally I got a good buck and video!!

2 HUNTERS and ONE BIG DEER DOWN!!!!!

This large 9 point buck was killed 11:30am as it was coming across a clear cut.
I did not know it at the time but one of our guys in our hunting party shot and wounded him (notice lower belly) at 8:00am and had been following a faint blood trail going on 4 hrs and over several hundred yards
The buck was well ahead of them and still on the move!!
I was able to place a nice clean shot and he dropped in his tracks!!!

Glad you were able to take him out. I hate the thought of wounded deer being lost. You did everyone including the buck a favor. He'd a laid down and the coyotes would have made a live meal out of him. Good you had the Al Cam going.

Another good buck taken. This was an even better buck. My best friend's 21yr old daughter Sarah, my friend doesn't deer hunt but she wanted to. This is her second season. I don't think she realizes how hard it is to take a deer like this. Very nice deer. I green scored it at 140+ huge bases. Killed tonight the last day of firearms season here.

I enjoy getting young folks involved in hunting and fishing more than actually hunting and fishing myself.
