Good Deal on 8gpm?

Im meeting up with a guy tomorrow in my area to look at his 8 gpm unit. Unit has a 22hp honda with an 8gpm pump, the unit was custom made by Rex at pwp. The unit has 300 hrs on it (was a contractor who cleaned a rubber roof with it) also comes with 200 feet of hose,wand,tips and a blue filter for the water inlet, and new battery.. Ive got him down to $2,100 on it. Does that sound reasonable?

He has a 36" surface cleaner for it also, but thats overkill for me, so if anyone in the MD, De or Pa area are interested in that im sure you could get a deal, used it once.

I'd use it,..and make sure it's working properly,...not sure I understand the 300 hrs,...then in quotes,..used for cleaning a rubber roof? Makes it sound barely used,..but the hours?

I'd just check it out and make a determination based on your own judgment and needs.

You can get a brand new one for 3k. I'd pay 1200-1500

3500 psi.. the roof was like a flat roof 400k sq feet, he said that was the only project he used it on.. He isn't a pressure washing contractor, he is in the construction business and bought it just for that job.. we will see, going to check it out tomorrow

my 8.7 at 3500 has a 31hp engine, is 22 enough?

Daniel if you have that vanguard then yes that honda will turn that pump to those specs.

turns out you were right.. The guy didn't see the dot mark in-between the hours and min. Turns out the thing only had 30.1 hours! I picked it up today.. Its literally brand new not a scratch on it.. Has the honda gx 690 which is a 22hp honda..

Correct Sir, notice Honda doesn't rate HP on their machines anymore. Heard they had some problems with that a while back.

Nice been looking at some. Thinking I'm just going with the pump I have a vangard without a pump. Its only 18hp do you guys think it will push an 8gpm pump. Also what pump do you recommend.

Absolutely, I'd use a General or Udor pump.
