Blaze damages restaurant in Lee’s Summit

A kitchen fire caused $75,000 in damage to Good China Restaurant in Lee’s Summit Sunday afternoon.
The restaurant at 280 SW Blue Parkway was not open to customers when the fire ignited about 3:15 p.m., Lee’s Summit Fire Department said. Firefighters contained the blaze to the kitchen and brought it under control by 3:30 p.m.
Firefighters determined that the fire started in the ceiling, above the cooking hood, from combustible materials.
