God’s Simple Plan of Salvation

My Friend: I am asking you the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?

God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again.”

In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today. How?

First, my friend, you must realize you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages [payment] of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.

“ . . . it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “ . . . He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin] to be sin for us . . . that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). “ . . . without shedding of blood is no remission [pardon]” (Hebrews 9:22).

“ . . . God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Although we cannot understand how, God said my sins and your sins were laid upon Jesus and He died in our place. He became our substitute. It is true. God cannot lie.

My friend, “God . . . commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “ . . . ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved . . . .’ ”

Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected. His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer can claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Savior.

“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can, but shall be saved.

Surely, you realize you are a sinner. Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.

In Luke 18:13, the sinner prayed: “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Just pray: “Oh God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.”

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!

God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

You say, “Surely, it cannot be that simple.” Yes, that simple! It is scriptural. It is God’s plan. My friend, believe on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.


“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

Be sure you are saved. If you lose your soul, you miss Heaven and lose all. Please! Let God save you this very moment.

God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and enable you to live a victorious Christian life. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved, there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth:

* Pray -- you talk to God.
* Read your Bible -- God talks to you.
* Witness -- you talk for God.

You should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, and then unite with a Bible-believing church without delay. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord . . . .” (2 Timothy 1:8)

“Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).
 
Al, I'm in agreement with pretty much everything in your post.

If you are trying to reach people who don't know Jesus or don't know the Lord it's difficult for anyone to understand "sinners" without a little background.

Here is little background to add to your post.

Look into the sky. Look at the birds. Look at the mountains. Look at your body, how it so different from a rock or a plant. It heals itself. Your body thinks. Your body feels for others. Your body and mind PLAN and you SPEAK and READ and WRITE. This is what makes you different from the animals.

Now ask Why? Why am I different? How did I come to be this way? Evolution can't explain it otherwise most animals would be talking by now because it increases survival. Why am I different.

Someone had to make me. Someone had to make all this work together. The trees, oceans, mountains, humans, animals, etc. And IF it was made by someone, that someone MUST be amazing to have planned everything down to the atomic level. At one end atoms in are bodies are like little machines working all the time. At the other end of the spectrum galaxies are working like big machines. The architect of this must be beyond our realm of thought.

Now, from there you might ask "Why am I here?".

My answer would be. "I don't know". But there are many theories of how we got here and many religions to explain it. A search of these religions will eventually lead you to the old Jewish story of creation.

That story would be just another "myth" if it weren't for one thing. That is the future being foretold in it over and over again. Like the king who called in a prophets to ask about a future. One of them told him he would be led in chains out of Jerusalem. The other told him he would never see Persia. The false prophets convinced the king that this was conflicting prophecy so he disregarded the advice of the good prophets. Later he was taken captive and led out of Jerusalem in chains. On the way they put out his eyes. So he indeed never saw Persia. The prophets of God were right. As always. Prophecy like this happens over and over again in the bible. Sometimes the prophecy isn't fulfilled for a couple of thousand years, but when it is, it gives more credibility to God's word.

Now that one has found a credible source for the way we got here. The next question is "what does God want from me?" and how do I show respect for the one who gave me life?

A more deeper reading would eventually lead to Al's post.

You also have point where the "rules of a bbs, of a job, of whatever" have no comparison in importance of what is posted here. Al keep it up, you are doing great sir.
 
From the first two posts ...there is enough information there for one to make a Decision to Accept Christ as their Savior.

The post was not put up for debate or discussion, if I had my way I would post it as a sticky just for people to read if they choose.

If it changes just one person on this board....it was worth posting.

We are celebrating Christ's Birth and I just wanted to share his Gift!
 
I have no issue with Al posting about religion or trying to save some Souls here. Look out when the Anti Christ people come in.

He can post all he wants, I welcome his postings as long as he realizes that we will not babysit the Mindless blab section hard because it does not get viewed by customers.

If everyone can agree on this then praise the lord!!! Its Sunday

Al no one has ever told you that you couldnt post about Christ. We just will not devote a forum about the subject.

God in itself is a beautiful thing, but when he brought in all the R/T thats when things got ugly and began to fall apart. The Devil himself was a fallen Angel !!

So forgive me when I hear all the bad things that happened in the Catholic Church and all the deception from the top down to hide the horendous things they brought down upon inocent kids. We were taught as kids to respect the Preists & Nun's and to never disobey them, and they knew this and used it to their advantage.

This is just the kind of nonsense that earned my first wife her divorce from me. I cannot stomach people who preach their beliefs, be them religious or otherwise. Everyone has a belief set, and proposing that anyone's is better or more correct that anyone else's is ridiculous. Keep your beliefs to yourself, unless you are attempting to make this a strictly Christian BBS?? Oh, BTW - I do believe, just not a zealot.

I'm not trying to make anyone believe anything. I'm just offering what's taken me over 25 years of study to find without being timid or ashamed about it.

Whatever is posted on here from me is just plain old faith. There's no absolute proof of most of the bible. But if there was absolute proof there would be no need for faith.

The I have is a faith that comes from years of study, a Christian education, attending in a seminary, a few stints as a minister, counselling and working with prisoners along with daily study which continues today.

Balance that with a few years of bucking the law, doing everything imaginable out of a loss of faith and just simply living like an atheist that also has no conscience.

It was God's mercy in bringing me out of that kind of life that makes me the "zealot" I am today I guess.

It was such a good save, I just feel like I need to share it whenever I can.

Maybe I'm just a moron and all this is just myth. But if it is, it is a myth that has brought my family out of a life of bondage and slavery to our own desires and freed us to have a happy contented life.
 
Born again is for people who dont get it right the first time. So I'm not sure but how many times can you sin and go against the written word and be forgiven buy simply asking for it. Seem's real convienient to me, but what religion isn't, heck they got jihad's to run planes into our buildings with a promise of 72 virgins go fiqure.

Catholic's & Protestant's have been fighting forever, The Jew's & Palistines have been fighting since jesus was crucified. Religion has been the reason for the unrest of the whole world since the begining of time. So beleive what you will but the truth speaks for itself, we cant all be right about all the different religions and belifes in this world, but one thing is for sure, we will all find out in the end.

Can you Imagine if Darwin was right and it was just "Natural Selection" or go and read the book called "The Word" this book was written on the interpetation's of religion's written in different languages and how things got twisted along the way. This is a very touchy subject for alot of people but everyone needs to beleive in something and this is why so many disagree about things in this world and that will never change.
