Retired Air Force - the Navy is awesome, but does not compared to the Air Force.
After being side by side with the Marines in Bosnia - I hate to say it, but the Marines & Army are the backbone to our security.
You can bomb and bomb, but when it comes down to it - somebody has to go in on the ground and take care of business.
I'll still bleed Red, White, & Air Force Blue.
As an Air Force jet engine mechanic - there is no better feeling then knowing that a plane meeting its mission depends on you and your team correcting a fuel problem, changing an engine, or troubleshooting an electric problem. The Commander says we need this plane in the air in three hours, can you troubleshoot the problem and have it fixed - thats pressure knowing that ground troops depend on you for their lifes. I'll loved it.

I know many of you may have loved the jobs you had in the military but I think mine was alot more fun.
I used to be an Ordinanceman and I have to say there is nothing like knowing that when you put something up in there air it's going to make one hell of a boom when it lands.
Man, I miss making the old pipe bombs or,
making a one shot cannon out of an m61a1 vulcan gun barrell and some HEI rounds (High explosive incenery) and shooting at trees with it. .
Maybe I should add demolition to my companies services..

All of our Armed forces are great but nothing in the world compares with our Navy's fire power. Totally awesome.
AND don't forget the Navy's food also is second to none(one of the reasons why I joined 20 yrs ago)

The Marine Corp doesn't have medics-we have Corpsmen.
The Marine Corps is the only branch that has it's own Navy.
