Getting old

Tony Shelton

BS Detector, Esquire
I found something at the World of Concrete show that I bought a lot of and was really excited about...

this is so sad...

it's pathetic......

I'd never seen them before and think it's the greatest thing ever.......

Bifocal Sunglasses.

I'm going to go in a corner and die now thinking about how old I'm getting.

These were a wholesaler - www.globalvision.us It's the C-2 bifocal. They're safety glasses. I got some clear ones and some tinted ones.

They're about 10.00/pr wholesale. (I know a lot of you die hard sunglass guys are puking right now at the thought of wearing a $10.00 pair of sunglasses, but if you had as many pairs as I have sitting in the bottom of somebody's AC ducts you'd quit spending so much on sunglasses too! :yikes:

Here's the link, but I can't get it to work right.

I hear that. I probably have a grand worth of shades on the bottom of lake from wakeboarding......... Now I wear cheapo's to the lake.
Lesson learned.

Tony I gave up on wear high $$$ sunglasses after throwiing a few pairs of $185 Oakleys in the trash after chems ruined them.I switched over to the S&W 38 specials about 7yrs ago and haven't worn anything else since. At a lil over $6 a pair I don't mind trashing them when they get scratched.I don't need the bifocals yet,but saw several pairs on that site that I wouldn't mind adding to the collection.

For those of you looking for great glasses at a reasonable price check these out.

Now you're really killing me man! I tried to wakeboard in 2001. At that time I could ski all day long but wakeboarding kicked my butt. AND THAT WAS NINE years ago!!!!

Thanks for your support. :bash: I feel much better now.

I buy the sunglasses with built in readers at Gander Mt. for $20. I always have a spare pair. Great for fishing for tying knots and I can see my instruments again on my motorcycle. They are polarized too. Getting old is a drag but the alternative seems worse.

You are just behind the times. I bought some of those a long time ago.

It never fails, If I buy an expensive pair I brake or lose them very quick.
A few summers ago I picked up a pair of hovens.... about $90 the same day i was checking the oil on the car took them off set them under the hood. I shut the hood and both lenses poped out and flew acrossed the driveway! Owned them for maybe an hour!
I buy a cheap pair and cant brake or lose them if i try........ Funny how that works..:dirol:

As of about 2yrs ago I found that I can't read anything worth a C#@P. I seem to need reading glasses for everything now. I can't even seem to leave the house without them anymore. It Sucks! I hate getting old...

I found out that if i buy any high tag sunglasses i loose them, breakem, sit onem, or they get stained with chem spots that eats the tint off. but I bought 2 pairs of bodyglove polarized shades at my local surf shop for $10ea last year and still havem and they look new. Plus if you guys have a Ross/Marshals in you area you can get hightag shades there for about $20

So who is the oldest bastard stll doing this, we all know I am an old fart at 50 !!

Got me beat.

Got me beat. Finally, someone has me beat. 49.
I think Dave Olsen is well into his 60's, and I know someone in California that works everyday that is 64, and he is doing fleets.
