Just a little heads up in case your pump is affected by the freezing temps.....

"GP Companies, Inc. warrants each pump
manufactured by General Pump to be free of defects
in material or workmanship for a period of five (5)
years from the date of shipment with the exception of
TV/TH Series 57 Pumps, Consumer Pumps, the
hydraulic pump line and the centrifugal pump line. In
addition, GP Companies, Inc. warrants all forged brass
pump manifolds to be free of defects in material and
workmanship and from damage resulting from
freezing for the life of the pump. Liability under this
warranty is on all non-wear parts and limited to the
repair or replacement of any pump returned to
General Pump/US which upon inspection, is judged
to be defective due to workmanship or material
failure. Any product returned to General Pump should
be shipped freight prepaid to GP Companies, Inc. –
1174 Northland Drive – Mendota Heights, MN 55120
and must display a Return Authorization Number
obtained from General Pump’s Inside Sales

Should you have any questions, give me a call.

That is great info Lori, Thanks.

Scott, did you happen to keep the manifold? If so, where is the crack? Could you send a picture(s) to rex@pressurewasherproducts.com?

It sounds as though it is covered. During a freeze, the head will crack at the weakest point. We have seen the cracks from freezing around the area where the valve caps are located. Give me a call if you have any questions.

Enjoy! It is freaking cold here in FL!!! Lori

Yep I kept the old pump head.I hang onto parts for a while before I actually get rid of them.I'll try and get a pic tomorrow whenI get in from cleaning.

Excellent Scott! You can get a new manifold or sometimes credit. It looks like you will have a back-up coming your way!

That manfiold is worth over $300. We find that GP's nickel plated manifolds are often almost 75% the cost of a new pump.

Anything going on in the crankcase of the pump?

Lori

Great question, Kory! No, you don't have to show proof of prevention. When we send pumps and manifolds in to GP for warranty coverage, they inspect them like the FBI and CIA are attacking a case. They can tell what has happened with your pump.

Kory, should you need help, give Rex a call on his cell at (727) 424-6600.

Thank you,

Lori

Everything in the crank case was good.No discolored oil the ceramic were even intact justthe packings and check valves had to be replaced.

I am sending a manifold with a similar crack(s) to General Pump today. My Father feels it should be covered because it was not damaged due to wash out. Do you remember who you purchased it from. If so, contact them and ask them to provide a RMA number for you. If you have any problems, please call me directly and I will help you.

Nice pic!

Lori
