General pump hammerhead 20" nozzle size

I just purchased a 20" GP hammerhead and I dint know what size the nozzles are. It doesn't say anywhere in the manual and there's no marking on the actual nozzles. It says it's good up to 8 gpm but I have a 4gpm machine. So I'm not sure if they're 4 each or 2. If anybody knows please let me know. Thanks.

I bought it from northern tool (I know bad decision) I needed one quick my whirl-a-way crapped out during a job and needed one right then to finish. I don't think the guy there knew wgat a surface cleaner was, let alone the nozzle sizes. It seemed like I had to walk slower compared to my whirl-a-way. I guess I'll just buy the correct nozzles and put them in

the nozzles on a hammerhead aren't marked, I went through the same thing. I called General pump and they told me hammerheads come stock with 2502's. Depending on your machine I would think about going to 2.5's-#3's. For a 4 gpm machine #2' nozzles get you 4000 psi. You don't want to hit residential concrete with 4000 psi. If your pump is rated at 3500 you need a 4.5 nozzle...divided in half for a surface cleaner you need #2.5 's. Also you can raise and lower the swivel on a hammerhead, by loosening the bolt on the round collar with an allen wrench. Oh yeah when you save up some money, buy a Whisper Wash Classic, that hammerhead won't last long, if you do a decent amount of
driveways.

What's your gpm and psi? Do you know how to properly read a nozzle chart? I learned right here.

3500 and 4gpm. Yeah, I learned here too. I love this forum.

I think they are 2502 out of the box. Look at northern tool online, I think it is in the description.

I did look and couldn't find the nozzle information. Maybe I'm just overlooking it, but I can't find it.

Northern tool are a bunch of tools. I went there to talk to the manager about the hammerhead and I knew more about it than they did. I had to call General pump and the girl on the phone knew all about it without looking it up. Obviously she got several calls about the same thing. The stupid thing is GP has their own nozzles and they choose to use unmarked chinese knockoffs to save money. If you keep those nozzles on that surface cleaner(the #2's) you will be getting 3500 psi but you will be bypassing some flow to get it(because 4 gpm 3500 psi requires a 4.5 nozzle). Then you will probably scalp the cream off a few driveways. I think I ran 2.5's(2600-2900 psi) and 3's(1800-2100 psi) with my hammerhead. I also had to raise the swivel to avoid taking the cream off of the driveway.

I agree about the employees, thank you for the information. I will try your suggestions.
