Generac Motor

I can get a 15000 watt Generac Generator from someone who is moving and had it for power in case of a hurricain. I don't need a generator but it has a 30 hp v twin motor with electric start and less than 10 hrs on it. I can get it really cheap and was wondering if it can be converted to a belt drive pressure washer. Has anyone ever done this?

I think that the shafts on generators will not accept a flywheel for a belt drive.

You're right, Nick. A generator has a tapered shaft for the rotor to sit on. If you wanted to go through the trouble, you could change the crankshaft.

Better yet, buy his generator really cheap, sell it for a lot more, and buy a 29 hp Vanguard.

Call me I will buy the generator from ya. I have a few these and always need more.
