Foam cannon stopped working

just got the MTM foam cannon and have used it a total of 2 times.. today on a job, i noticed i wasnt getting any foam or chem for that matter while spraying. i found that there is no suction..

what the heck!? i tried messing with the valve on top, no change.

thoughts?

Mine started spraying like crap, it turned out to be the filter mess inside was clogged with something like a plastic bag (I'm clueless as to what it was). Cleaned it out and it worked fine.

What are you using foaming gun for what kind cleaning doing.

Chris, I use mine for pool cages / screen rooms (abundant here in Florida) to avoid over spray and mist getting carried everywhere.

Block off pickup tube and DS as usual.

I blocked the pickup tube off (where the soap bottle connects) with a small piece of hose, but yes. If there's no pressure loss (or vacuum) at that port then the only other place to pull from is the DS'er.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow if another hurrinado doesn't come through. Come to think of it, I may have changed that out for brass fittings (haven't used it in a while).

It's really not. The soap they use on those cars is designed to be a real heavy foam (which we don't use). About the only different you'll notice using our typical mixes is the texture is a little foamier. The foamer just lets a little air in to the stream to start the foaming action and then it's out to the surface.

It does cut down on the mist, which is why I like it.

I think I'll try this with my roof pump setup. Hadn't thought of that until now.
