Flow Unloaders

On the K7 unloaders there are two nozzles in the output side that are about 3 mm. I consider that a restriction but I dont know if it matters or not. Is a flow unloader more restrictive, is it harder to push water through than a pressuretrap?

The orifice you speak of corresponds to the gpm rating of the K7. They are different size (the nipple and the orifice beneath) on K7-0,1,2,3. I can't really see where they'd be more restrictive. On a trapped, the water has to get around the shutter piston and through the outlet. At least the K7 keeps moving the water in one direction.
