Floor Protection From Diesel

Hercules bed liner

I should have gone with Rhino Liner when I bought my truck. I went with another brand which is reputable but the surface was too hard or plastic-y, not softer so things will not slide around as much. With this Turbo Liner, stuff slides all around all the time, I think with the Rhino Liner it is softer so it "grabs" stuff and things will not slide around as much.

Some of where they sprayed was not done thick enough so now it looks like they missed some spots. There is a part on the floor of the bed where I put drums of chemicals, it wears off the bedliner in that spot. On the tailgate I need to have it re-sprayed as I was moving concrete wheel stops and it gouged the bedliner down to metal.

I asked them about the lifetime warranty and they said that was for defects and like those spots I have where it was sprayed too thin, not where the material was gouged with the concrete wheel stops. I will have some stuff re-sprayed but they will have to grind down the existing stuff so the new stuff will stick to it. This will cost me about $90 so that is not too bad and then everything will be good again.

Something also to think about is conveyor belt material, you can get this stuff and it is very durable but very heavy and you would have gaps between each strip but should last a long time. I have seen this stuff in 1/4" and thicker and widths from 8" to 5' wide and they do sell it used all over the place.
