Well I went for it and took on our first fleet washing account. We are doing a small trash company out of Sedalia Colorado. I have other people interested (uhaul * Plumbing Co) so I am going to see how it goes.

I got the Karcher Truck wash degreaser and some aluminum brightner, brushes, spray paint, and chickens (sorry that was for Russ - Mindless blabbering)

Hot Wash - Cold Rinse = Right?
 
If you are using two machines you can do it that way. With garbage trucks you will definitely want to use a hot wash. There is usually a ton of grease on them. I have never seen one that was not over greased. If you are just using one machine you can just leave the hot water on.
Are you upstreaming or downstreaming?
BTW, Nate is going to hate it.
 
Nate actually drove a garbage truck for 2 years and he liked it alot. He didnt have a helper either, so he had to drive, stop, get out, unload the can, run it to the door (yes they do that here) get back in the truck and do the next one. Not my cup of tea....but he liked it. He did find me a laptop in the trash and it actually still works! :)

Trash people find really good stuff..... My buddy ran trash and he brought me a taco bender one night to the pub.... We laughed about that for years.... The funny thing is I kept it for years after...

They call it 'perks'.

Occasionally I pass the waste Management depot right around quitting time and crack up when I see those guys dragging their 'perks' to their cars.
 
Me and my friend Stephanie went dumpster diving behind the JC Penny one time, God, I think we were 17 or so. JC PEnny use to throw away the clothes if they were missing a button or had a minor defect. So we would dive in the dumpster and get the clothes (we were poor - okay ) Anyway, this one night we drove behind the building and the dollar general was next door and there was a tv box sitting there, we were like "NO WAY" So we drove over and low and behold a 20" tv/vcr/dvd combo TV still in the box just chillin right there.....we loaded that puppy so fast and drove like hell!!
