First time

I had a client sign a contract with me for the first time today. I have always done things without contracts. About 8 months ago, I started doing contracts. Then it was 4 pages long, no one signed. Have a new one and he signed it within minutes. Weekly service.

Congrats.

Awesome

Stop using that dirty word, agreement sounds better. Service agreement sounds even better than that. Signature to autorize work, not contract.

We all know thats what it really is. Its the same as guys using the word caustic or acid or chemicals. Cleaing solution, soap, anything but we are putting acid all over that today miss how owner.

You get the point...

I remember posting a while ago talking about how to get someone to sign a contract. First post was Russ saying "dont call it a contract". Since then, I have referred to it as a maintenance agreement. The guy called me last Friday, asked when we could meet and told me "Make sure to bring your contract". I thought he was using it as a generic word. I was wrong. I guess maintenance agreement is far less intimating.

Great advice Ron, Thanks.

I like that wording a lot better.

Nice work!

Oooops! I thought this thread was gonna be a story of some sort about something else. I'm a bit disappointed but still happy for you Jonathan. LOL... Great job and great advise! :)
