I have booked my first roof cleaning job (my house) my question is can I mix up some cleaning agent and use my power washer to apply and rinse with the soap nozzle? What is the best agent to use and how long is the dwell time before rinsing? And any other tips I might need to know?

Only if you want to damage your roof. Go to Pressure Tek ang get setup with a roof pump. It will pay for its self in no time.

No. Get a dedicated pump for roof cleaning. Down streaming will not work. Unless of course you don't mind applying your mix 20-30 times. Even then, depending on the severity of the mold and algae on your roof you may be dissapointed with the results.

I've been doing testing with my PW. I have been shooting 12% from the ground. It works but it take a few months to see results. The roofs do come clean.

When I first started plumbing waaaay back, this old guy Jack would stick 4-5 feet of snake in the sewer. He would wrap it up, collect the check, them tell the customer everything will clear right up in 3-4 days.
