First Photo's of the New Trailer

Well guy's here are the photos of our new trailer. We upgraded to a 2007 Big Tex 7 x 12 with a 5000# axle, all new hose reels, a new surface cleaner, new water tank, whip lines, and other misc stuff. We just out grew the little 5 x 8 pretty quickly.....

Nice trailer. Just a couple of things as a critique. The nylon straps holding the water tank down are not safe for long term use. They wil get sun rot and need to be replaced. Also, next time you might want to look at a tandem axle trailer. They are a bit more stable, and the slosh from the water tank is not so noticeable. I do like that you have the side boards, and that, at the current time, everything has a place. It is really amazing how fast you can fill up a trailer with necessities. Of course, I am the guy that will pay $5000 for a flatbed trailer to have it how I want it.

We did look at the tandem axle trailer but they only come in 14' lengths and with the tounge @ 3' thats 17' and that wont fit into our garage with all the other junk that is in there, or else we would have gone with a tandem axle. This is why we orderded the 5000 pound single axle trailer. Thanks for the tip on the straps - it was just a temporary solution until we order the metal strapping. Yes, the trailer did fill up fast.........

Oh and Jeff - Im on vacation :):p

Hey Nicole,
Nice set-up.What size tank is that?? Is it the 225 gallon? IF so I have the metal straps for that that I could sell you. IF your interested get a price on what they cost and maybe we can make a deal.

Here is a picture of my tanks that I just sold one of but the person does not need the metal straps.

I LIKE IT !! VERY NICE AND CLEAN !!
I used to carry a small water tank on my tailer and then for a while I had a tandem axle that I used , Then went to a 1 Ton Van that I used and is now rotting away in the parking lot. I finally started using my single axle again because every vent hood, concrete, interior floor, and everything else I clean I always have water available.. My old ford with the 300 in line 6 cyl gets about 15mpg pulling my trailer with the whitco machine on it but when I used to just carry 100 gallons of water around I would only get around 9 or 10 mpg. Like Danny De Vito should have said... There is only one thing better than water......Other People's Water >>

Nate babies his stuff, it is washed off after EVERY job, no questions asked, plus it is parked inside the garage every night as well. Equipment isnt cheap and its your lifeline in this business so we try to take care of everything..

Yeah I did that when I first started out, too. Now, I run it hard and put it away wet.

He has treated his equipment this way for going on 5 years. Even when he didnt have the Landa Skid - his machine was still treated this way.....If you knew my husband...he is a female when it comes to organazation of his trailer. All of the cones are even washed down after every job, gloves are put into a plastic bag for washing, yellow vests are hung perfectly on the hangers in the truck and the truck is pretripped and posttripped everyday.....(he gets this from driving a semi for a long time). I have to admit he does a good job!

We finally got the new decals put on the truck - I will get some good photos tomorrow. Also, updated photos of the trailer. Had our first major service done to the machine - a valve in the pump cracked and some other stuff
($700) OUCH - We also invested in putting a backflow system on as well..... I know I know - its a bout time.

Hope every one has a great memorial day and takes a few minutes to relax ..... we have a HUGE parking lot to clean...:(

They do fill up fast here is ours last year, we have electric brakes as well.

I am thinking of adding 3-4 feet to the back.
