First Draft - Opinions Please

Hey folks

I've been calling a lot of commercial property management companies lately and am getting the response 'we're good for exterior cleaning companies just now, but send us your details and we'll keep you on file...'

I am sending them the relevant info, and decided to make up a postcard as a follow-up... would appreciate all comments - good, bad & ugly!!

Still working on the back side of the card, just want thoughts on the Work In Progress...

thanks

Steven

Looks like a good start, but I would suggest more emphasis on that last item on the "to-do" list...maybe more red ink and BOLD lettering.

hey david

thanks..... I'm still pondering over how to word the back side - whether to carry on the 'to do list' angle or just get back to who, what, where, etc, etc. I'm trying to put together a marketing program for each of my targets, with thanks to many on these and other boards I am getting a better idea of what may and may not work - although, from my experiences in marketing my pool service business, nothing is set in stone!!!!

on a sidenote, what kind of setup are you running for your roof cleaning? I won't be targeting this initially, but am interested in how different contractors approach this work.

Have you done any roofs with the solar panels for electricity or roofs with the solar heating panels for swimming pool water? if you have, have you taken any precautions or run into any problems.

Hope you don't mind the questions!!!:)

What works for me on cold calling is to actually go by and visit in person.. My prices are always higher but for some reason they end up calling me.. Here is the thing ,once you get some good major cleaning and your name gets around people will call you. Word of mouth takes time but if you do what you say your going to do , the consumer will take notice and you will get a good rep..

go and talk to them. It may take several tries before you can talk to the right person but that is the best way to go about it if you have the time. If you dont have the time then you dont need the acount that bad. That is how they will look at it

Thanks for the advice guys...

Face to face is part of my program, at this point I am canvassing a large pool of potentials. I understand that it will take many points of contact and understand the value of personal interaction, since I am a startup I am trying to get the CleanFast USA name in front of people's eyes.

I'm getting a lot of responses on the boards about persistence and patience often leading to some success, I will tailor my approach accordingly. I am very grateful for the advice, it is refreshing and reassuring when you guys share what you have learned.

:D
