First buck of season on video

For you out there here is a video of a 8 point buck I got a couple weeks ago, the cam is attached to my rifle. (be patient...its not edited):grinning-moose:

You sure ruined his day. Nice deer.

Firearms season doesn't open for a few weeks up here. Went out for the first time this season with a bow tonight. Saw several none within range. I don't hunt until nights are in the 30's. We butcher our own and don't have a cooler big enough to hold them. Plus I hate skeeters.
 
Sounded like a 12Ga shotgun, I guess your not in rifle country?
 
you stood him up with the shot. good one. but he was deff. in bow range.

believe it or not, I had to shoot that deer again about an hour later, I left him alone and went and got my 6wheeler and waited on a friend to help load him up and when we got back to him he was still alive.
I thought I made a good kill shot, If I would have known it wasn't ...I would not have waited so long.
He was getting ready to walk under my stand and was within bow range but rifle season is upon us and Rut is kicking in.
 
That is Awesome!!! Were you using an EPIC camera? He looked heavy. I sat in my treestand for about 35 hours the past 3 days and only saw 4 deer. Couldn't put horns on any of them. That's what you get when you hunt public land in Florida. The 90 degree weather and the full moon was not much help either. Congrats!!!
 
I thought when I saw in the video him kicking I'd put another one on him. I use shotgun up here. 12ga 870 and I've knocked them flat and had them jump and try to haul ass before. A 1 oz slug at 1,300 fps is like getting hit with a sledge hammer.

The peak of the rut here should be the 3rd - 15th Nov.
