Fire Smoke on Plank Siding

Any tips for removing black smoke from a fire that is on plank (composite) siding? I am sure my secret mixture will work, but just wondering if anyone has encountered this before?

The siding was not chared or on fire - they just had a turkey fryer go up in flames in the back yard and it "smoked" the rear of the home.

Thanks guys!!!

Okay --- Update on the "smoke house"
Nothing worked - the smoke basically made a "film" over the siding, everything that I tried beaded right off, basically like the house had been waxed. Any ideas guys?

You might want to try blasting it with baking soda. It's hard to tell without any pictures , but if some one in your area has a blasting pot it might work. Mike

You did'nt mention what you used. I just cleaned smoke damaged hardiboard. Butyl,Sodium metasilicate worked, F13 (potassium hydroxide) worked the best.

I agree with Mike. Go to...universalminerals.com. Check out maxxclean. Dan Cosgrove

It didnt just get on the siding - it is caked on the siding on the lower half of the house. I figure I will go out again once the weather gets better......Im sick of snow - I fell like I live in Illinois again :(
