Finally warming up in Vegas

Well, Summer is finally here over a month late.

Here are some outside readings, in the shade, off the white truck, on the black pavement, etc.

The air temp is only 113 today. My first year here we left Sioux Falls in the winter and the wind chill factor was -80. Six months later we were on the lake and the air temp was 124. Amazing.

Just like home for me. At least its not Phoenix, like you need it any hotter than Tucson.

I take my eggs over easy please! :D

Cold front coming thru Texas....temps dropping below a hundred next few days

That sound really hot....We aren't supposed to hit the 90's for a week...but we are in 90% humidity. Step out side and you get drenched like you have been sweating...gross.

You need to waer goggles around here...Maybe get some w/ those windshield wipers...

I experience this so I feel bad when you experience that.

Today will be our first below 100 in 9 days, and we actually got a small amount of rain last night.

This video is NORMAL temps for this time of year. This is the coldest summer I have ever experienced here.

We've laughed for years at how they lie on the news about the high temps so they don't scare tourists off. The news always reports the "airport" temperature which I believe is in the shade with and air conditioner blowing on it!

The temp gauge in the car is always within 1 or 2 degrees of the real temp and we usually are over 100 every single day from June 1 through about Sept 7. And it gets to 100 by 8am. In the summer we work at night usually starting about 11pm or midnight and it's still in the 90's but the roofs aren't as hot by then.

I like it out here though. It beats shoveling snow all winter in Sioux Falls or Rapid City. It beats sneezing my head off in Tennessee all spring and fall. I don't miss the green, I grew up with it all my life till I got here.

But if you are thinking about coming out here DON'T DO IT! There's no pressure washing work out here!!! :D

Larry, I feel for you. My biological mom lives in Beaumont and when we went to visit her in the mid summer our AC in the car could barely keep up. I almost called Jim to help reclaim all the condensation coming out of the car AC

Hot and sticky.......ouch.

Is that Jims temp gauge? hahaha!
