Finally the Call!

I have been trying to get the contract to clean the local Carabba's Italian Grill here for 2-years. They called me last year for an estimate because their cleaning guy was moving on. At the last moment, he decided to stay, so I never got the contract. The cleaning guy they had didn't even have a Pressure washer. I watched him one night with bucket in hand and a scrub brush using chlorine to clean that never did get the grease up. Well I guess the management had enough of it and fired him. They then called me and told me that they wanted to give the contract to me. I went to meet with them today and they told me that I had the job and that it would be mine as long as I wanted it. They have a policy that when they hire you, it is for as long as you want and you become part of their family of employees. All I can say to you all is be persistant, don't give up on any business and keep your business name infront of them as much as possible. I last sent this company an advertisment about 6-months ago and they remembered. Good luck! Hugh

Good job Hugh! Some of those are tough to get. :)

How many locations did they give you? We had a bunch of them and Macaroni grills, they were good payers for 4 years and then they decided that they were going to do it themselves..They were pretty good about giving me comp's along with the check..

Jeff it is the Carrabba's in Gainesville. It seems that each location decides who they hire to clean. The way the economy is right now I am happy I finally got this. It also helps that I did a good job when I cleaned the location managers house last year. These types of jobs are hard to get because most already have companies cleaning them. Just be persistant and keep your business name infront of them and once they unhappy with what they have, you would be the company they call. Good luck and thanks guys for your input! Hugh
