Finally, A Second Pressure Washer

I have been in business for almost 3 1/2 years now and I finally bought a second unit. I am especially happy about this unit because I took part in building it from scratch at this month's Envirospec Technical School. The unit is their new line of pressure washers -- the TNT Premium Mini-Skids. Some of the units features are:

18 HP Vanguard with Tachometer and hour meter,
The new Quantum Z unloader placed in a mounting block with quick connects on both ends of unloader,
Heavy duty PA gear box,
Severe duty AR pump providing 5.6 gpm at 3,500 psi,
High flow water filter,
20 amp recharging system,
Quick drain oil plugs on engine, gear box and pump,
Everything mounted on a base plate with shock mounts.

I will be renovating my 6' x 12' trailer over the winter with new paint, brakes, 4 tires and changing the layout for a two unit, two person team. Looking forward to 2012!!!

J.C. This is the unit listed on the Espec website. After testing out the unit, I quickly got attached to the gear drive and new unloader (a flow type that feels more like a pressure type).

Part Number:TNT3556V
Description:TNT PREMIUM SERIES PW, 18V, TS5635
Price:$2,215.00

David, That's just a cold water unit though right? I was looking at getting either that TNT unit ( but with 8gpm) or the 5.6gpm 3500psi Hot water Allison Super Skid that Envirospec has for sale through the end of the year at $2999. It sure looks nice.

Shawn, that Espec hot water skid you are talking about (5.6 @ 3,500) is the unit I have been running everyday for the past 3.5 years. This new unit I just built and bought is strictly a compact cold water backup. I am also looking very hard at the large TNT skid that has a 30 hp Kohler and will produce 8.6 gpm at 3,600 psi to be put on a second trailer (hoping for a lot of growth in 2012). I planned on buying an 8 gpm unit next but this 5.6 gpm unit was "show special" priced with no shipping and I couldn't pass it up! I got a great deal on this unit and I am really excited about putting it to work. I need a second surface cleaner now!

Get the 30hp and you will love it.Having that much versatility in one machine is nice.I had them switch pumps for mine opted for a few more gpms than pressure.I really like it.

Hows that Iron Horse Running?

Ron, I bought it as a cold water back-up unit and after 700 hours it runs like a champ. Not one issue except the unloader which I switched to a K7 a year ago. No issues with the AR pump or PA gear box (only oil changes done to them).

My next machine will be an 8 gpm. Over 5 years and I have only used 5.6 gpm units from day one.

When/why are you going with the 8 gpm. Is the only benefit rinsing speed? What size tank do you have? Will you need to upgrade it as well? Truck or trailer?

I am looking for a lightly used 8 gpm unit now and made an offer on one today. I have a 325 gallon tank on a 6 x 12 trailer now and may build a second trailer (or flatbed) in the next year. I clean a lot of concrete and that is my primary reason to buy an 8 gpm unit, along with quicker rinsing of condo complexes and large concrete areas (I cleaned an amphitheatre 2 weeks ago and have an 82 townhome condo complex next week and another school in 3 weeks). With both 5.6 gpm units running, I run into a water shortage every 5rd or 6th job and have to shut one unit down when the tank gets low. Most of the time, I can tell from initial water hookup whether or not water will be an issue. I have a 100' main 3/4" inlet hose and will hookup a secondary 150' inlet hose if needed as I hate waiting on water (longer hose to reach a farther away faucet). Running a 5.6 & 8.0 unit together will increase the likelyhood of running out of water on more jobs.
