Fax thoughts?

Tony a couple things. First the picture may just come out black or close to it coming over the fax machine, they just dont have photo quality. Also I think theres to much text. you sort have to keep it simpler. A good opening line and then some info. You have to catch thir attention quick and that much text it may just to much.

Keep it simple

Good luck

You have to be careful faxing if you don't an Established Business Relationship "EBR" with them. The feds have laws about unsolicited faxes.

Big Brother is Watching!

FCC link here.

Almost all these places have already been called and permission asked. I've got a list of over 200 that I started 3 years ago. I still put the disclaimer at the bottom in case I misdial and it goes to the wrong number and so that even if someone has given me permission and later doesn't want the fax they can call to remove themselves.

Inspired to this plan of action by this thread:

I do it too. Just wanted to make sure everyone is aware there are Federal and State laws about this now and you can do it but with conditions. All you need is one weasel in an office that doesn't want to simply throw it away. We've had one guy in Indiana that was an idiot about it and ignored requests to stop that is getting pinched $1,500 per fax.

You can do what you want but I would not drop the price for "Our slow time" and rasie it for "Our Busy Time" That might make you real busy during your $30 cleanings and make your $60 busy time real slow.
Just my opinion.

Well, technically that's just me directing sales away from the summer. It's too hot in the summer to work on rooftops all day here (I've personally measured 150+ degrees on a metal roof.)

In the 8 cool months we can work day and/or night so I can take on a lot more business.

I'm charging more because I don't want to do it during that time. I can make a decent living at $30.00 each.

Maybe I shouldn't do it like that.

Hey 150 versus a cool winter day, I might go for that as well. Just make sure you dont lose to much money.

I think stressing cost savings is a great idea. You could offer to "Lower their company's carbon footprint!" Help your customers to "Go Green!"

I like "Off-season" and "In season" pricing.

Do you charge for the video taping?

I might add a sq ft limit to the free sidewalk cleaning. Actually, I definitely would!

Great idea, sounds like you have your act together. Just curious: In the first fax, you mention 3 stories. Is that as high as you will go or do you have a portable unit to ride the elevator?

I sent out 50 yesterday. Today I'll see about adding the carbon footprint verbiage and send out another 50-100.

I don't charge for videotaping because it's just a part of what I do now. I've been taping for a long time thinking that one day all the footage will come in handy if I have to train someone else.

I've got a 1500 square foot limit on the bottom in the fine print.

I do have a portable unit but it's too much hassle at that price. Lugging that thing up and trying to find water and power puts me on even par with the HVAC companies. I did an 8 story building by pulling the hose up, but it was HEAVY and the roof had a 10 ft wall so I had to stand on a ladder just to pull the hose up. What a pain. I thought if I ever do that again I'd weld up a pulley I could mount on the roof wall.

I'm not dropping the price, I'm just raising the price during the times I want to steer the customer away from. I'm going to send you a PM about the pricing. I don't want to put it on the open board.
