Fatboy as transfer pump

Anyone have any experience on how far the fatboy will prime/suction and draw from. Would like to use it to transfer from my drums so looking for a baseline distance to make my my setup off of.

Trying to avoid getting a dedicated transfer pump but..... things dont always work out the way id like
 
10-12 ft i believe. I have never primed from that far. Check with Bob he can tell you. I use a dedicated 5850 for my transfer pump.
 
We've done 20-30 feet before on the one fat boy we had. We do it now all the time with Paul's pumps. The key is a well charged battery.

The have a priming distance of 14'. In an open flow application I have primed at as far as 50 ft but that is not recommended by the manufacture or myself as a general rule.
