Fascia and Gutter Cleaning BMP

First of all... is there such a thing as a Fascia and Gutter Cleaning BMP?

I have a house that I washed, but the fascia has "zebra stripe" stains left behind. I'm wondering what's the best method or product to use for great results. The house wash knocked most of the dirt and grime off, but the shadow stain remained. House's I've done in the past seem to come clean much easier using primarily house wash.

That's what I was talking about you might get by with it sometimes but that one time will be bad.A butly based product does better than potassium hydropxide base.

We see those kind of stains on houses every week. F-13 does a great job on them. We start with a weaker mix and strengthen if needed. One of my guys did use too strong of a mix a year ago and took a 3 foot section of paint right off.

F-13 is the bomb. I have painted one set of gutters in six years of scrubbing them. I was working around front and wondered what was taking the helper so long on the back. I went around to hear "I'm sorry man, no matter what I do, I cant get the gutters clean". Uhh, son, the more you scrub, the more bare aluminum shows through. It was my fault, I put the boy to work with no training. The finish on the gutters was failing and it was not the fault of F-13 at all.

Keep that stuff out of your eyes though.

I find butyl to work better than potassium hydroxide but I have both on the truck . Also industrial ammonia is awesome but it is also a paint stripper and quite smelly.

I am having to relearn all of this as well. The product that I used to use for cleaning gutters was sold by a local distributor in Leesburg, Florida. I can no longer get that, so I am trying new things. F13 works really well in the summer but if the temperature is below 60 you can pretty much forget about it. Purple Power from Walmart works pretty well for cleaning at the lower temperatures when F13 will not work. I used to use that stuff a long time ago but I don't remember how strong I had diluted it. If you use it too strong it will strip the paint

What sort of brushes do you all use on fascia/gutters?
Green gutter brush, its carred by Russ and Bob both i believe, soft enough to not scratch but firm enough to get the job done. Also holds lots of liquids

That's cool, I'll have to try that one. I have been using a blue Unger brush sold at Home Depot. It has a squeegee on the back, but that squeegee is useless.

I did my own gutter today with F13 and it came out great. I did 8:1 ratio mix, spray it on with a regular garden pump sprayer, let it sit for a few minutes, and them i grabbed a car wash broom that i no long use to detail my cars and brush it like you're cleaning your car. I then rinsed it w/ oo20 nozzle...boommmed...look awesome. Thanks to Bob at Pressuretek for recommend this product to a homeowner DIY like myself.
