I believe it has a problem with 8th cylinder. I am not sure what exactly the problem is. Check the video I made, it might give a better idea. One mechanic suggested repair, another a whole drop in reman as easier and guarantied solution. I am not ready to pay for either way at the moment. it's wiser for the biz just to give up on it and let it go with lots of tears in my eyes..

Injectors bro, just like everyone prior to me has suggested. I'd check it out.

I showed the video to me mechanic he jumped up and said "that baby needs Injectors let's get our asses to Florida". That truck is worth much more than your asking, just saying.

Try a u-pull it autoparts if you have one there. (its a junkyard) cheap enough to see whats wrong with it

My local U-pull have parts only for gas cars, no truck parts at all :)..
I believe that the problem is not just an injector. One mechanic did a buzz test and said injectors are fine (the electrical part of them). A bad injector (bad nozzle for instance) could lead to further engine failure. It could be bad rings or bad piston or bad valves. There are not that many diesel mechanics in my area and the artists are a whole bunch. The good ones know they are just a few and charge incredibly big money just for a touch or look at the Powerstroke. I am sure this could be a great investment for those who have the ability to fix that baby.

Truck still for sale :)..

Ok, If I decide to keep this gorgeous lady, can you please point me out to a reasonable and reputable place to buy a reman? I have talked to my mechanic who is not a diesel specialist, but his advise makes sense to just put a new warrantied drop in, instead of digging into the unknown and complicated darkness of the Powestroke world :)...

Thank You guys very much!

Go to hotshotsecret.com
this stuff is like magick a lot of trucking co. are useing it to clean injectors frome the inside.
The gas companie I drive for used it on a 2yr old truck that they were going to change the injectors in. It smoked like a freit Trein for about 15 min and now it runs like new.
