Over the weekend I was able to attend Russ Johnson's repair shop class, I want everyone to know that if you have never been to 1st a round table meeting I would recommend that but 2nd to attend Russ's class. I was able to leave there with so much knowledge about the equipment I went in the class knowing some things but came out finding much easier ways to do something and new stuff I had no idea about.

I will tell you my story, I have hotsy hot water machines the reason for buying them was because. My local dealer sells them, I'm not in any way bashing my local company that sells them I understand that hotsy thinks they are on the high pole when it comes to prices to repair things. Anyways, every time that I would have problems with the pump I would have them repack the head with everything new to prevent breakdowns down the road after everytime having this done over the years the lowest repair bill has been over $600 that is without changing the pistons in the pump tht I have had to do once at $90 each. While in class I was able to see what others were paying to rebuild there pumps and was very scared to tell everyone that I was 2 or 3 times what a lot of people was paying.

One thing that I learned was when this pump messes up again I will be buying several of another brand to be putting on all our machines so they all match and. Can keep replacement parts in stock to repair if needed. Doing this will save us a lot of money since I can change everything out my self.

If you have taken his course in the past, please post here and tell everyone your story! Let everyone see what a great thing Russ has done for us all. Or if you are thinking about taking the course let us know what. Might be stopping you from attending?

Thank you Russ for the great class and pray that business keeps you very busy!

Matthew, thanks for the kind words. I do what I can to help.

But did he set the packings with a rubber mallet, or his fist?

Russ is a great guy and very knowledgeable. I am glad to hear his classes went well.

I hear his hands are their own special extraction and insertion tool for rebuilding pumps he has done it so many times.

Russ has been known to fix pressure washers with his mind alone.......over the phone.
