Equipment Problems

I have a Landa 20hp Honda 4.8gpm 3500psi (PGHW5-3500).

When the machine warms up it starts acting up and puttering, even more if I have the wand or surface cleaner active. If I turn it off and let it sit for a for a few minutes it will work fine again.

I checked the oil and the oil is clean and on level.

What could be causing this?

I had a similar problem with my Hotsy machine a few months ago, turned out to be the spark plugs.

It might be that, the belts, the unloader, timing, etc....

I think someone here had a similar problem also a while back, probably 2 months ago.

I've checked the spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, fuel lines, breather on the gas cap.

It's going to the shop tomorrow.

Today was hell. We worked in the snow today. We have two machines and the Landa is working like sh**. My swivel on my big guy went bad last week my swivel on my whisper wash went bad today. We have a deadline tomorrow that I don't think we will make now. We couldn't even get one gas station knocked out today with all the problems we have had. I haven't had much over 5 hours of sleep all week. We've been working 15 hour days almost two weeks in a row. We have 6 gas stations left out of the 30 and the vice president is coming in on Tuesday and I don't think we are going to make the deadline. And to top if all off I couldn't see if someone responded to my post because PWI has been down. We didn't service one of our other accounts today nor do a graffiti job we were suppose to get done on Saturday. I'm going to have a beer and get ready for a good day tomorrow.

Hey, This thing wokin again?,,,,,,Check check check!!!!

Matt, I feel for you, keep going at it and you'll get through it. Boy it was warm here today - Just teasing you man. How about the choke or governor linkages etc? Good luck.

I know it can be a real pita to take it into the shop but if you know a guy that works on the small engines and is really good, take it in.

I had a problem with a generator that 2 small engine mechanics could not find the problem after rebuilding the carburetor, cleaning out the fuel tank, changing the fuel filter, etc....

The expensive and best mechanic said it was in the timing, more trash in the tank, the filter had some trash in it, the carb was not rebuilt correctly, etc...... A real good mechanic found the problems.

Sometimes you have to take it in and let the best guy work on it and get it done so you can be out there making money!

Good Luck.

That was my next guess:grin:
