Employee Timecards

What are you using to keep track of your employees hours?? Are they pre printed, or did you make them yourself?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I created ours in MS Excel, and I just print them as needed.

It has a place for the name and week (date) at the top.
It lists the days of the week, time they begin loading, time they unload, amount of time taken on a break, and total column. There is a signature area at the bottom, and a place for office notes.

Hope this helps...

Beth

p.s. our work order sheets also have time arrived and time job ends, as well as milage. You can get a pretty good feel for the trip time, and if the time is accurate or not.

Time Cards

Mike,
I use a time clock and time cards. This is the the only way I know for sure that when they say they punch in and out is accurate. If they forget it goes on file as a violation. I don't accept a pattern of write-in times. Now this doesn't make it full proof but it gives me some control.I can't speak for other states but New Jersey Dept. of Labor doesn't accept hand written time cards with the same credibility as time clocks. My two cents, by the way, Dale Jr. is my guy. He and Tony do run well together though.
