Ron, that's funny that I seen your post. We are in the process of doing just that. However, we dubed ours as a "video business card" for lack of a better term. I do think this is a very effective way to not only tell folks what you do, but to actually show them. I have very high expectations for these video's. You also bring up a good point that I hadn't really given much thought to. Actually, we have an IT guy here that was actually going to place them on a disk. They would automatically start and run in their computer. But, you bringing up the point of some places removing this sort of stuff from networked computers that would facilitate viewing them is a valid point. I had never thought of literally leaving a portable DVD player behind...but a great idea. I think we might have to give that a try.
I was wondering what you thought the ideal length of the video was. I've done an awful lot of research on time spans, attention spans, etc., but since you're doing it and obviously having success with it, I was wondering how long your video's were. Like 5 minutes, 10...?

I still believe in doing things with free samples of my work... This works well for flatwork... We have sent out DVD's of our work and your right , they probably just get tossed in the trash.. I may go buy a few DVD Portable Players.. I believe walmart has good price on the Durabrand Models.. We have a video using Powerpoint right now that we are working on dealing with interior tile and floor scrubbing... Also I am thinking of turning our free website into a real one here soon and having a full demo page of all of our services..
